Escape The Audience - Emerging from Canada’s indie underground, the band fused anthemic pop with a subtle vein of nostalgia, turning industry heads before any official release. Early productions landed with producer Mark Needham (The Killers, Fleetwood Mac, Imagine Dragons), who immediately clocked their commercial viability. Major labels took note, drawn to the project’s sharp hooks and nods to classic pop eras.
Working in Los Angeles with producer Bill Lefler, the group locked in a sound that channeled the melodic sweep of early-2000s acts like Keane and Coldplay, layering luminous ’80s synths and bright piano hooks against angular guitar work. One EP later—they vanished, leaving a concise but resonant mark on the alt-pop map. Like so many prolific writing duo’s, there’s a vault of unreleased tracks and a good chance of a reissue in the works.
“A tangle of brit-pop grandeur with ’80s glow– potent, magnetic, and razor sharp. ”
